Past Events
Sunday, June 10th, 2012:
We held our second seminar from 1:30 to 3:00 pm, again thank to the support of C&T! Our focus topic was "Bridging Two Cultures" with speakers Dr. Ling L. Wu, psychologist, and Ms. Wenxi Li, law student, so we heard from two perspectives and two generations.
Saturday, May 19th, 2012:
We held our first bake sale fundraiser at Great Wall Supermarket in Rockville, MD from 10 am to 2 pm on Saturday, May 19th! Many thanks to everyone who donated - we really appreciate your continued support! Keep an eye out for another fundraiser in the next couple of weeks.
Sunday, March 25th, 2012:
Our very first seminar was held Sunday, March 25th from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm at C&T Youth Technology Academy! We invited Dr. Ling L. Wu, a psychologist and migrant Chinese American to speak about the value and ways of communication within a family unit.
It was a success! The turnout was about 10-12 attendees. With a smaller group, we had room for more personal discussion, and some of us even got to share our own stories. Most of our attendees were parents, so we will need to work on getting more representation from the second generation in our future seminars.
